Black Miami Studies Summer Workshop

Week-long workshop at intersections of Black and coastal studies, focusing on the linked sites of swamps, beaches and ports, and their entanglements with urban development, building, and construction. A Miami-informed orientation understands Black subjectivities shaped by the laws of the land, the risks and possibilities of the sea, and the increasing instability of the land-water divide.
